GEN5 is the new generation of the Modix filament printers, and it is what ships today. Same models, same build volumes, same modular design: a new electronics and reliability generation.
Duet 3 electronics: the new Duet 3 6HC controller architectureDuet 3 uses a distributed CAN-FD architecture, allowing additional motor drivers, I/O modules, sensors, and toolboards to be added throughout the printer. The system can scale to 20+ axes and drivers through external expansion boards, making it well suited for future upgrades, advanced automation, and complex multi-tool configurations.

Everest is based on our popular Modix BIG-Meter 3D printer and is delivered with the following add-ons by default: Enclosure, Modix Griffin standard and the new Griffin Ultra print-heads, large spool mounting, Casters, Tilt screen , Z HiWin rails, Clog & Crush detectors.

Safety
We’ve updated the BIG-Meter lid to store filament spools inside the printer for safety. Maintenance and spool changes now require working at height—check your local safety policies. A platform ladder is safer and more convenient than a standard one, especially when carrying spools. The Modix Everest does not supply ladders or safety gear; please source them locally as needed.
